How Does It Work?

What Happens During the Treatment Process?
When you come in for your treatment, one of our trained technicians will begin by cleansing your treatment area. Then, we will apply a topical numbing agent to numb your skin so that you don’t experience any discomfort during the treatment process. Once your skin has become numb, we will begin the treatment.
Creating Tiny Injuries in the Skin
Your technician will use a pen-like device to create tiny holes in the surface of the skin in the planned treatment area. The pen’s tip will never make contact with the skin, but that plasma arc generated by the pen will produce an electric current that creates a tiny hole into the skin’s surface, and the heat energy will force collagen to contract in the deeper layers.
These spots will appear as tiny red dots. These dots will scab over, and your body will begin the healing process by creating more collagen and elastin to tighten and rejuvenate the skin.
How Long Does the Treatment Process Take?
Since this treatment process is quite repetitive and series of tiny holes must be made to effectively cover your entire treatment area, treatment times will vary. If you choose to treat a smaller area like your upper lip, you can expect to spend less time at our office than if you were to treat an area like your entire neck or entire face.
